We build software that lets
a vehicle explain itself

FIXCAR LLC is an automotive technology company registered in the United States. We work on vehicle diagnostics and connected-car software for the people who drive, repair and operate vehicles every day.

Our mission

To close the distance between what a vehicle knows and what its owner is told — so that a warning light becomes information instead of anxiety.

How we got here

Modern vehicles are, in effect, networks on wheels. Dozens of control units monitor themselves continuously and record what they find. That information exists. It is simply not addressed to anyone. It surfaces as a symbol on a dashboard, and everything after that — what is wrong, how urgent it is, what it will take to fix — depends on who you can get to look at it.

FIXCAR started from that gap. Not from a belief that drivers should become technicians, but from the opposite conviction: that they should not have to. The vehicle already produced the evidence. The missing piece was software willing to interpret it honestly and say what it means.

That work pulled us toward the whole chain rather than one link in it. Drivers need to know whether a fault is urgent. Workshops need to reach a defensible diagnosis quickly and explain it to a customer who is being asked to trust them. Fleet teams need to see across many vehicles at once without living in a spreadsheet. It is the same underlying problem, seen from three seats.

We are a small, engineering-led company and we intend to stay deliberate about it. We build slowly, validate against real vehicles and real workshops, and try to earn the trust that a diagnostic tool requires before it is worth anything at all.

What drives us

The commitments we hold ourselves to

These are not aspirations on a wall. They are the arguments we have internally when we are deciding what to ship.

01

Clarity over cleverness

If the person reading our output cannot act on it, we have not finished the work. We would rather ship a plain sentence than an impressive dashboard nobody understands.

02

Evidence, not guesswork

Diagnostics carry weight — someone spends money because of what we say. We hold ourselves to what the data supports, and we say so plainly when it supports nothing yet.

03

Respect for the trade

Technicians have been reading vehicles for a long time. Our software is built to support that expertise rather than pretend to replace it.

04

Build for the long run

Vehicles stay on the road for a decade or more. We design for that timescale: careful foundations, boring reliability, no shortcuts we would inherit later.

05

Honest by default

We do not overstate what our software can see or promise certainty we cannot deliver. Trust is the only thing that makes a diagnostic tool worth using.

06

Privacy taken seriously

Vehicle data is personal data. We collect what a feature genuinely needs, explain what we hold, and make it straightforward to ask us to delete it.

The team

The disciplines behind the product

We are organised around the problem rather than around job titles. These are the areas of work that make up the company today.

  • Engineering

Diagnostics platform and vehicle data pipelines

  • Product

Turning vehicle signals into decisions people can make

  • Automotive research

Vehicle systems, fault behaviour and validation

  • Design

Interfaces for drivers, workshops and fleet teams

  • Customer support

Helping users get an answer, not a ticket number

  • Operations

Company, compliance and everything that keeps it running

Team imagery on this page is illustrative. We list the disciplines that make up the company rather than individual profiles.

Working on something where vehicle data matters?

We are always interested in the problem from a new angle — a workshop with a workflow we have not seen, a fleet with a question we cannot answer yet.
